First Week Of College Experience
The first week of college was very hard for me. It came with a lot of challenges that I had to overcome. I was excited to go to my classes and get ready to meet all my teachers. We were all required to wear a mask so no one can really see your face. People didn't really talk to each other and just went to their classes. I had so much homework and didn't have time for myself. I didn't have time to eat, sleep, or attend any of the school activities that they had that week.
I was so overwhelmed and stressed out. I was not happy and I felt lonely. I would go to the basement and go do my homework because I didn't have anymore to study with. My roommate is nice but she has her friends she always talks to. I felt so alone and inside of talking to someone I kept everything inside. Then, one night my bubble popped when I was in the basement and just started crying. I felt good at first but it didn't solve my problem.
I decided to seek some help. So, when I got to work I asked my coworker for the counseling number. I got in contact with them and now I'm getting the help I need. The first week of college or being somewhere you don't know anyone is the hardest thing ever. Making friends is hard and you will feel so many emotions going on but you are not alone. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Sometimes you just have to wait for the right ones to come your way!
