2020 In Review | Yearly Wrap-Up
Wow! What a year it's been! I started the year switching to selling products and wall art. I changed my business name to Brittany Louise LLC, recreating my brand, and building a new website. My fiancé, Nick, started remodeling a room in our house for me to use as my office. We finished everything except for my homemade desk that Nick also made for me, I seriously have the best man! I bought all sorts of product samples for my office and quit taking shoot and burn sessions. Unfortunately, I had to take a few months off due to COVID, but as soon as the restrictions lifted, I got right back into it following all the safety protocols. I decided to add hair and make-up to all my sessions, which gives me the chance to hang out with my clients a little longer and it helps them have some peace and excitement before their session. Then, the best part of all happened! …. I QUIT MY DAY JOB AND STARTED DOING PHOTOGRAPHY FULL TIME!!!!! WOOHOO!!!! This kind of came unexpectedly, of course I wanted it, but after five years of doing my business I was feeling kind of discouraged. With the support of Nick, my family, my friends, my clients, and my followers and the help (yes, help) that COVID gave to me, I could do it! Switching to products helped me realize how much printing my work does for me, it makes taking pictures worth it, they get seen on a wall or in an album instead of on a computer for nobody to cherish or see after the session. I don’t get burnt out as easily because what I’m doing it worth it!! I also decided to use my degree to help others! I added business coaching to my business. I helped my first client start up her own photography business and that in itself is worth it too! I am finally doing what I love full-time and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me and my business!
Here’s a few of my favorite pictures from this years sessions:
