College Visits
College visits are such exciting times. I remember feeling so happy when finishing high school. I was so excited to visit the schools I wanted to get in and just walk round the campus and explore how it really feels. It was such an amazing moment to feel nervous and excited at the same time. I would always get nervous about what questions to ask the tour guy/her. I decided to make a list of all the questions I had and to also ask for important information before the fall semester started. This is very good if you are staying on campus or not.
Don't be afraid to ask questions and get the information that you need. Here are some questions you could ask that are important. Ask about financial aid, clubs to get involved in, federal work study jobs, what to bring to your dorms if you are living on campus, parking if you are bringing a car, your counselor/adviser information, school programs to get involved in, scholarships, tuition, meal plan, scheduling classes, letting them show you where your classes are on campus and etc. These are all important questions to ask.
I asked a lot of questions about living on campus. Some of the questions I asked about were vacation if it is required if you are living on campus. They did say yes but if you have a reason why you can't then you would have to talk to them. Another thing I was very curious about was the list of things to bring and what not to bring. Some of the things were, bedding stuff, bath stuff ( you can talk to your roommate about those), storage and organization things , electronics, room comfort things, etc. I hope all this helps you get ready for college!
