Life On A Boat | Gloucester, MA | June-July 2021

One day I was watching Outlander on Netflix (great show!). They were coming to America from Scotland on a Tall Ship. Now back in 2011, I went to see Tall Ships America up on Lake Erie with Dad and we talked about how cool it would be to live and work on one of the boats. So as I was sitting there watching Outlander, I got that feeling again, that I wanted to do that, I wanted to be one of those people who worked and lived on a Tall Ship. Right that instant, I got on the Tall Ships America website and perused their job openings. I found one in near Boston, MA, that was a four month season, and I called the Captain the next day to see if they were still hiring and if they would take someone with no experience, they said yes! Within that week, I had accepted the job! I was excited, nervous, and sad, all at the same time!

Kirkman Family | Marion, Ohio Photographer

Melissa called me and said she wanted pictures taken with their 4-H animals since their local fair is cancelled, she didn’t want the girls hard work to go unnoticed. This was my first time photographing pigs and chickens. The chicken was easy, the pigs were a different story. They were running all over the place and being hard to handle, but we did the best we could!
We then took some family photos around their property and went down the street to a bike trail that had gorgeous lighting! When we got back to the house, she said, “One more!” as she ran inside to get a sign. She came back out and I was immediately so surprised and happy for them! Scroll down to see what they are so happy about…

Dad growing a “Fu ManChu” mustache and two of the girls recently chopped off their long locks because they were bored in quarantine. It’s been a weird year, hasn’t it? Now they will have a canvas hanging over their fireplace to always remember this crazy time!

Caribbean Cruise | Vacation | August 2019

I had so many things planned for my trip this August. First I had a trip planned to go to Australia, that fell through. Then I had a Croatian cruise (on a sailboat) booked with EF, they ended up cancelling it. I was getting very frustrated. Amy is a good friend of mine that I met on my Belize trip a couple years ago with EF, she’s also the one I visited in Pittsburgh last year. She loves to travel as much, if not more than I do………..
